Reader Request Home Sweet Home Dominican Republic Edition

A few days after I was asked to make a Texas Home Sweet Home poster, I was asked by another reader to make a Dominican Republic poster. Just like the Texas poster, I used the countries flag as a color scheme (funny how both posters used red, white and blue.) Since I couldn't be sneaky enough to find the readers home town, since they now reside in Canada, I put a red star at the Countries Capital City, Santo Domingo.

Reader Request Home Sweet Home Texas Edition

A few weeks ago I was requested, by one of Loving Life Design's readers, to design a Home Sweet Home poster in the shape of Texas. I am always happy to oblige, even though it took some time.

Because I wasn't sure what color scheme she wanted, I decided to do the Lone Star States State flag color scheme, blue, white and red. (say that three times fast!) What do you think? I think it's fun and bright. Being the sneaky person that I am, I found out she lives near the Fort Worth/ Dallas area. In the spirit of home I put a little star on the map for her. Did I get the location right?

Doctrine and Covenants Easter Poster When the Son Arose {Free Printable}

Hi there everyone. I know is been about a years since we've posted anything. It's been a crazy busy year for the two of us. Thank you everyone for continuing to follow us and support us.

Easter is coming up and I felt inspired by pinterest and all the "He is risen" Easter posters that have been pinned and while I was pursuing the inter webs for an inspiring easter quote I found this New Era Poster from April 2002.

I don't know why but the poster made me feel something and after reading the scripture it struck me so much so that I felt like I wanted (after a year of being absent) to make a poster to share with all of you. 

I think the reason I felt so inspired by the New Era poster is because I just LOVE spring and Easter and the light and renewal the both bring to the world. I could go on but I don't want to bore you. I just wanted you to know it makes me happy.

Valentines Day Poster - {Free Printable}

I meant to post this yesterday but illness has kept me in bed and since I am still in bed this is going to be real short. 

Happy Valentines Day Everyone I hope it's a good one. 

I made this 8 x 10 poster a about a week ago for Valentines Day. It's from 1 Corinthians chapter 13. I was inspired by, you would not believe, How I Met Your Mother. I've been re-watching the seasons and Marshal quoted this verse during one of the episodes centered around Lily and Marshals wedding.

This version of 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is from the King James Bible.  

I also made 4 x 5.25 cards. I've left a little white space around the blue to made a nice border. Just print and cut.

I'm a Mormon - Ann M. Dibb {Free Printable}

During the saturday morning session of  general conference Ann M. Dibbs gave a talk titled "I'm a Mormon." It was a beautiful talk aimed a the young women of the church.

Sister Ann M. Dibb, second counselor in the Young Women general presidency, recalled meeting a teenage member of the Church a few years ago. She immediately knew this sister was not from Utah because of the words on her T-shirt which read, “I'm a Mormon. Are you?” Sister Dibb was impressed by this young woman's bold declaration and pondered what her own T-shirt would figuratively say. She concluded it would read, “I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.” 

She said it is important to be confident in Church membership, just like the apostle Paul who said, “...I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. . . .” 

“Such conversion and confidence is the result of diligent and deliberate effort. It is individual. It is the process of a lifetime,” Sister Dibb said.

Modern Chevron Christmas Photo Card - {free Christmas card}

Today I have another photo Christmas card. It's a simple chevron design.

I again borrowed the family picture from Michelle's Photography site. I don't have a picture of my family. Although we are twins, michelle is much more photogenic than I. Plus taking pictures makes my husband and I uncomfortable. I know, weird. (hopefully in 3 weeks we'll have a family picture that I'll be willing to share)

You have two different sizes to choose from 4x6 and 5x7.

The file is a Photoshop file so that you can change the family name (the font for that is Rockwell).

The family picture is meant to be a square so you'll have to crop your family picture to make it fit. The Photoshop file should have guidelines for where the picture should start and end but in case they don't show up, the picture starts 1/4 of an inch from the top and ends 1/4 of an inch from the bottom, and it starts and ends 1 inch from the sides. If you follow those dimensions it should fit perfectly.

Let me know if you are having troubles getting the picture to fit right.

One more thing....I do have a slight drop shadow on the picture and the banner. Here are the constraints I used, you'll have to add them to your family picture.

NOTE: The bottom of the banner doesn't show that there is a layer style. Trust me there is. Don't add a second drop shadow to the bottom ribbon or it will make it look a little funny.

Reader Request - Home Sweet Home Utah Edition

This is an inaugural post. It's our first READER REQUEST.

Stacey requested that we create for her a Home Sweet Home Utah Edition in Blue.

Stacey we are happy to oblige. I do apologize about the delay I couldn't find the file on my computer and had to re-create the file. This is an important lesson in backing up your files and not leaving an unsaved file open on the family computer. I think my wonderful husband closed out the program and didn't save the file. Oh well lesson learned.

Home Sweet Home United States Style {free printable}

Last night after blog surfing I was inspired to create a home sweet home poster. Instead of matching the well known phrase with a house I thought it would be an interesting twist to place the home sweet home with a silhouette of the united states. It's really not meant to be 4th of Julyish (plus we are a month past that) but it is a little patriotic. Something small to remind us that we love our country all year long. Same reason as to why I have my nativity picture displayed all year. How cute would this be in a white frame above your front door? The answer....incredibly adorable.


I think this could be a really great idea for different states or even other countries posters. If you would like me to create one for your state become a follower and then let me know.

I did a mock up of Utah to see what it would look like.

Well now to show you what we have for you today. This was by far one of my favorite songs in church primary while growing up. I always catch myself singing or humming it randomly through out the day. It's a beautiful song. The poster is an 8x10. I couldn't work with a good smaller size poster. I apologize.

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes Poster

We have a new poster for you to download and do with how you please. I think that it's a lovely little thing. I downloaded the "dream" font a few weeks ago for a wedding invitation and knew I wanted to use it on a design for a poster, I just couldn't find/figure out a good phrase to use it in... Then I watch Cinderella... Done!

I hope you like it. It's an 8 x10 and there are five colors for you to choose from.

I am a Child of God poster

What an important message right? I feel every child needs to know this and remember it each and everyday of there lives.

I created this poster ages ago for my little girls room. It's been hanging in her room since she was born, in pink of course.

I was waiting for Elizabeth to post something but she is super busy finishing up school for her degree and we have not had anything posted for over a week!!!  I felt we needed to put something up. So here it is....
